Dominica es un país insular ubicado en las Antillas Menores del Caribe, situado entre las islas francesas de Guadalupe (al norte) y Martinica (al sur). Su capital y principal puerto es Roseau. Dominica es valorada por su topografía montañosa, selvas tropicales, ríos, volcanes y exuberante belleza natural, lo que le ha valido el apodo de “Isla de la Naturaleza”.
Históricamente, la isla fue colonizada por europeos, aunque sus primeros habitantes fueron pueblos indígenas.
