One of the most outstanding attractions of Parque Explora is the aquarium, which has an area of 1,300 square meters, which is why it is considered one of the largest in South America. In addition, it has 14 freshwater fish tanks and 9 saltwater fish tanks, which house around 400 species, including the impressive Pirarucú, one of the largest freshwater fish in the world.
On the other hand, its interactive rooms stand out for being designed to live different types of experiences; both on stage and for the mind, experiences of interpretation and representation of time. Also in one of the rooms visitors have the possibility of directing an orchestra or forming a band with family and friends. In addition to this, there are rooms to experiment with physics on a large scale and rooms dedicated to observing various species of reptiles and amphibians, such as snakes, frogs, lizards and turtles, providing a close view of Colombian fauna. Children from 0 to 5 also have their space, and have a room for exploration and learning through play. |

This great park is located in the northern area of Medellín, in Aranjuez. It is located in front of the Universidad metro station and is next to the Medellín Planetarium and the University of Antioquia. Also, one of the most important amusement parks in the city, Parque Norte, is very close. Its location makes it easy to get to and it is a reference point for visitors. The hours to be able to live this great experience are from Tuesday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. with the last entrance at 4:00 p.m. On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays the hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. On Mondays and the Tuesday following a holiday, do not go, as it will be closed. We recommend going during the week, because on weekends it is common to see long lines. In the case that you can only visit it on the weekend, we suggest that you go as early as you can to have the possibility of enjoying this interactive experience offered by Parque Explora. The general entrance fee is around $10.50 USD. Foreigners pay $11.49 USD, while groups or families of 4 people receive a 10% discount. In addition, people with a Medellín utility bill of stratum 1, 2 or 3 can enter for free. Parque Explora is definitely an exceptional destination where you can learn, marvel and explore for approximately 8 hours. In addition, the park has various gastronomic areas that enrich the experience by offering various food options that satisfy all tastes. This combination of learning, fun and gastronomy ensures a complete and pleasant visit for all who venture to discover it. |
