Macon es conocida como la “Ciudad de los Cerezos” y como un epicentro histórico del sur de Estados Unidos. Situada en el corazón de Georgia, a orillas del río Ocmulgee, combina historia, cultura y música. Fundada en 1823, Macon fue un importante centro ferroviario y agrícola en el siglo XIX, y aún conserva un rico legado arquitectónico y cultural. Además, la ciudad es reconocida por su contribución a la música estadounidense, siendo cuna de leyendas como los Allman Brothers, Little Richard y Otis Redding. Cómo llegar Macon está a aproximadamente 85 km al sur de Atlanta. Se puede llegar en coche por la I‑75 o I‑16, o mediante vuelos al Aeropuerto Regional de Middle Georgia (MCN), con conexiones a varias ciudades principales de EE. UU.
