| Parques del Río es uno de los proyectos urbanos y ambientales más emblemáticos de Medellín en los últimos años. Ubicado a lo largo del río Medellín, este parque lineal ha transformado la zona céntrica de la ciudad en un corredor verde que conecta a los ciudadanos con la naturaleza en medio del entorno urbano. Inaugurado en 2016, se ha convertido en un referente de sostenibilidad, espacio público y diseño paisajístico en Latinoamérica, ofreciendo zonas de esparcimiento, senderos, miradores y una integración armónica entre ciudad y río. Además de su valor arquitectónico y ambiental, Parques del Río es el escenario principal de los Alumbrados Navideños de Medellín, considerados de los más espectaculares de Colombia y Latinoamérica. Cada diciembre, miles de visitantes llegan a este espacio para maravillarse con instalaciones luminosas que transforman el parque en un verdadero espectáculo de color, luz y creatividad. | ||||

Cómo Llegar El parque se encuentra en pleno corazón de Medellín, paralelo a la autopista Regional y a pocos minutos del centro. Metro: Estación más cercana Exposiciones (Línea A). Carro particular: Accesos desde la autopista con parqueaderos cercanos. Bicicleta: Conexión por ciclorrutas desde distintos puntos de la ciudad. | |||

Qué Ver y Hacer Senderos peatonales y ciclovías: Para caminar, trotar o montar bicicleta en medio de jardines y zonas verdes. Miradores y zonas de descanso: Espacios diseñados para contemplar la ciudad y el río. Puentes peatonales: Con arquitectura moderna y vistas panorámicas. Actividades culturales y recreativas: Ferias, cine al aire libre, mercados ecológicos y conciertos. Biodiversidad urbana: Más de 1.500 árboles y 70 especies vegetales que enriquecen el ecosistema del río. Alumbrados Navideños: Cada diciembre, el parque se convierte en el epicentro de la iluminación de Medellín, con diseños temáticos que cambian año tras año. Este evento atrae a turistas nacionales e internacionales, posicionando a la ciudad como referente mundial en creatividad y festividad decembrina. Curiosidades El diseño del parque recibió premios internacionales en urbanismo sostenible. Inspirado en proyectos como el Cheonggyecheon Stream en Seúl. El río Medellín, antes relegado por vías rápidas, hoy es protagonista del paisaje urbano. Los Alumbrados de Medellín han sido destacados por medios internacionales como uno de los mejores espectáculos de luces de Navidad en el mundo. Consejos Prácticos Entrada: Gratuita. Duración de visita: 1–2 horas en un recorrido normal, pero en diciembre se recomienda planear más tiempo por la afluencia de público. Horario recomendado: De día para disfrutar de la arquitectura y naturaleza; de noche en diciembre para los alumbrados. Tip: Durante la temporada navideña, llegar temprano para evitar congestiones y llevar ropa cómoda.
