Nova York está acostumada a ocupar as manchetes internacionais. A cidade recebe mais de 60 milhões de visitantes por ano, abriga alguns dos marcos mais reconhecidos do planeta e serve de cenário para inúmeros filmes, séries de televisão e eventos globais. No entanto, poucas histórias despertaram tanto entusiasmo coletivo quanto o recente renascimento do New York Knicks, um fenômeno que está beneficiando não apenas o basquete, mas também o turismo e a economia local.

Após décadas de frustrações esportivas, os Knicks protagonizaram uma temporada que reacendeu a esperança de milhões de torcedores. A histórica conquista do campeonato encerrou um jejum de mais de meio século, desencadeando celebrações massivas por toda a cidade.
