Bolivia enfrenta crisis social por protestas y bloqueos prolongadosEl país enfrenta paralización económica, siete muertos y creciente presión para declarar estado de emergenciaBolivia atraviesa una de sus crisis sociales más graves de los últimos años, tras más de un mes de protestas antigubernamentales que han dejado al menos siete personas fallecidas, cientos de detenidos y amplias regiones del país prácticamente paralizadas por bloqueos de carreteras. Las movilizaciones, encabezadas por sindicatos, organizaciones indígenas y sectores campesinos, se han extendido a lo largo de rutas estratégicas que conectan ciudades clave como La Paz, El Alto, Cochabamba y Santa Cruz. Estas interrupciones han generado un colapso en la distribución de alimentos, combustible y medicamentos, provocando escasez en mercados y largas filas en estaciones de servicio. El conflicto comenzó a finales de abril tras la propuesta de una reforma agraria impulsada por el gobierno del presidente Rodrigo Paz, la cual generó temor en pequeños productores rurales sobre una posible concentración de tierras en manos de grandes propietarios. Aunque el Ejecutivo afirmó que cualquier transferencia sería voluntaria, la desconfianza se extendió rápidamente y desencadenó los primeros bloqueos. La tensión aumentó cuando el gobierno decidió eliminar subsidios a los combustibles, una medida que elevó significativamente los precios del transporte y contribuyó a una inflación cercana al 20%, según estimaciones económicas regionales. En algunos casos, el precio de la gasolina aumentó hasta casi el doble, lo que provocó un impacto inmediato en el costo de vida. A medida que los bloqueos se multiplicaban, el efecto en cadena agravó la crisis: el transporte de alimentos se interrumpió, hospitales reportaron dificultades para recibir insumos médicos y miles de vehículos quedaron atrapados en carreteras durante días. Organizaciones empresariales estiman que las pérdidas económicas superan los 50 millones de dólares diarios. El gobierno de Paz, quien asumió el poder hace menos de siete meses en medio de una crisis económica estructural, ha adoptado una postura firme frente a las protestas. El mandatario ha advertido que actuará dentro del marco constitucional para garantizar el orden y no ha descartado el uso de mecanismos legales excepcionales para levantar los bloqueos. El Congreso aprobó recientemente una normativa que facilita la declaración de estados de emergencia, permitiendo incluso la intervención de las fuerzas armadas en tareas de control interno. La medida ha generado división política: mientras algunos sectores la consideran necesaria para restablecer la gobernabilidad, otros advierten que podría intensificar la confrontación social. En paralelo, el gobierno ha intentado contener la crisis mediante negociaciones, reducción de salarios en altos cargos y la creación de mesas de diálogo con sectores sociales. Sin embargo, las protestas continúan activas en varias regiones del país y no se vislumbra una solución inmediata. Analistas advierten que Bolivia enfrenta un punto de inflexión político y económico, marcado por la ruptura entre el gobierno y sectores sociales que inicialmente lo apoyaron, lo que podría redefinir el panorama nacional en los próximos meses. |
