Shakira Regresa al Mundial: “Dai Dai” Será la Canción Oficial de la FIFA 2026

La artista colombiana vuelve a liderar la banda sonora del fútbol global junto al nigeriano Burna Boy

Shakira volverá oficialmente al universo de los mundiales. La FIFA confirmó que la cantante colombiana interpretará “Dai Dai”, la canción oficial de la Copa Mundial de 2026, convirtiéndose nuevamente en una de las principales figuras musicales del torneo más importante del fútbol internacional. El tema contará además con la participación del artista nigeriano Burna Boy, en una colaboración que mezcla pop global, ritmos afro y energía latina.

El anuncio fue realizado mediante un video promocional grabado en el estadio Maracaná de Río de Janeiro, donde Shakira aparece rodeada de bailarines vestidos con los colores de distintas selecciones nacionales. El adelanto incluye referencias visuales a anteriores mundiales, incluyendo balones oficiales de Alemania 2006, Sudáfrica 2010 y Brasil 2014, torneos con los que la cantante también estuvo vinculada musicalmente.

La canción será lanzada oficialmente el 14 de mayo y formará parte del programa musical de la Copa Mundial organizada por Estados Unidos, México y Canadá. Según los primeros avances difundidos por FIFA y la artista, “Dai Dai” tendrá una fuerte influencia caribeña y afrobeat, buscando reflejar el carácter multicultural del torneo de 2026.

Con este anuncio, Shakira amplía aún más su histórica relación con los mundiales. En 2006 participó con una versión especial de “Hips Don’t Lie”; en 2010 alcanzó un fenómeno global con “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)”, considerada una de las canciones deportivas más exitosas de todos los tiempos; y en 2014 volvió a asociarse al torneo con “La La La (Brazil 2014)”.

La elección de Shakira también refuerza el peso de la música latina dentro de los eventos deportivos globales. El Mundial 2026 será el más grande en la historia de FIFA, con 48 selecciones y una audiencia proyectada de miles de millones de espectadores. En ese contexto, la presencia de una artista colombiana con reconocimiento intercontinental representa una apuesta por una identidad musical verdaderamente global.

Además de Shakira y Burna Boy, FIFA ha comenzado a construir una estrategia musical más amplia para el torneo, incluyendo colaboraciones con artistas de distintos géneros y regiones. La banda sonora oficial del Mundial 2026 ya incorpora canciones de artistas como Daddy Yankee, Belinda, Los Ángeles Azules y Carín León, reflejando la diversidad cultural del campeonato.
