Venezuela tres meses después de Maduro: protestas y transición incierta

Estudiantes y trabajadores salen a las calles mientras el gobierno interino busca consolidar su legitimidad

En Venezuela, tres meses después de la caída de Nicolás Maduro, la vida política y social está lejos de estabilizarse y las protestas de estudiantes, trabajadores y distintos sectores sociales han reaparecido con fuerza. La operación militar de Estados Unidos que culminó con la captura de Maduro el 3 de enero desató una transición que muchos esperaban fuera profunda, pero la realidad para millones de venezolanos sigue marcada por crisis económica, incertidumbre política y reclamos sociales.

Desde la salida de Maduro del poder, el gobierno interino encabezado por Delcy Rodríguez ha intentado proyectar una imagen de apertura mediante reformas y cambios en el gabinete, y ha aprobado una ley de amnistía que permitió la liberación de cientos de presos políticos. Además, Estados Unidos ha levantado sanciones contra Rodríguez y ha reabierto su embajada en Caracas, pasos que algunos interpretan como una normalización de relaciones y un respaldo internacional a su administración.

Sin embargo, la percepción de muchos es que esos cambios son superficiales y no han transformado las estructuras de poder ni mejorado significativamente las condiciones de vida. El poder del chavismo sigue presente en instituciones clave, y la falta de un proceso electoral claro ha generado debates intensos sobre la legitimidad y rumbo del gobierno interino.

Las movilizaciones recientes, que combinan a estudiantes universitarios y trabajadores de distintos sectores, reflejan un descontento acumulado. Muchos exigen la liberación de todos los presos políticos, mejoras laborales reales y el fin de la inflación desbordada que sigue erosionando los salarios. La protesta estudiantil ha sido simbólica: jóvenes que durante años se contenían por miedo a represalias ahora marchan públicamente, una señal de que el ambiente de represión ha cambiado aunque no desaparecido del todo.

La economía venezolana continúa siendo una de las más volátiles del mundo. Con una inflación extremadamente alta, los precios de alimentos y bienes básicos siguen creciendo mientras los salarios reales permanecen ínfimos, obligando a muchos trabajadores a salir a las calles con pancartas que demandan aumentos sostenibles y una mejora en la calidad de vida.

A nivel político, el país sigue en un limbo. La legitimidad del gobierno interino es cuestionada tanto dentro como fuera de Venezuela debido a la falta de elecciones libres y a la influencia de actores externos en la toma de decisiones clave. Observadores críticos señalan que sin una hoja de ruta clara hacia comicios competitivos, el proceso de transición podría estancarse y prolongar la incertidumbre.

Pese a las tensiones, las protestas se han desarrollado en su mayoría sin la represión violenta que caracterizaba las manifestaciones durante el mandato de Maduro, lo que muchos analistas interpretan como un cambio en el clima político que permite una mayor expresión ciudadana. Aun así, el avance social percibido es lento, y para muchos venezolanos las demandas van más allá de reformas superficiales: buscan cambios estructurales profundos que garanticen justicia social, derechos laborales y una recuperación democrática auténtica.

En este contexto, el futuro del país pende de la capacidad de sus actores políticos para traducir las protestas y las expectativas ciudadanas en medidas que mejoren la vida cotidiana, así como de la forma en que se definan y convoquen los procesos electorales que muchos venezolanos esperan como paso decisivo para consolidar una transición real. Además, la continua influencia de Estados Unidos en decisiones estratégicas, combinada con la presión de sectores internos por reformas profundas, marcará el rumbo de una Venezuela que intenta dejar atrás décadas de polarización y crisis.
