Trump Faces Record Disapproval Rating Amid Growing Public Frustration in Second TermPresident Donald Trump’s disapproval rating has reached its highest level since the beginning of his second term with 55 percent of Americans expressing dissatisfaction with his performance while only 41 percent approve according to a recent national poll the data reveals a significant erosion of support particularly among Democrats and independent voters with approval among Democrats dropping from 12 percent to just 3 percent and support from independents declining from 41 percent to 29 percent although Trump continues to maintain strong backing from his core Republican and MAGA base where approval remains above 90 percent these numbers reflect mounting public concern over his handling of major national issues including the economy inflation trade policies and tariff disputes on most of these fronts he receives net negative ratings across various demographic groups immigration remains the only issue where he maintains a marginally favorable perception but even there the public remains divided political analysts suggest that the sharp decline in approval signals broader challenges for Trump’s leadership and potential consequences for Republican candidates in upcoming midterm elections especially as public confidence wanes in his capacity to manage domestic and international affairs effectively the growing gap between core supporters and the general electorate also raises questions about the limits of his influence beyond his political base and whether his polarizing approach can sustain broader national support during a period of heightened political and economic uncertainty. |
