Avião militar que transportava dinheiro cai na Bolívia; pelo menos 20 mortos

Avião sai da pista em El Alto; notas de dinheiro ficam espalhadas no local do acidente

A tarde de 27 de fevereiro de 2026 ficou marcada por uma tragédia na Bolívia quando uma aeronave militar de transporte, que levava cédulas destinadas a operações financeiras estatais, perdeu o controle durante o pouso no Aeroporto Internacional de El Alto e saiu da pista em direção a uma área urbana próxima. O acidente deixou pelo menos 20 mortos e mais de 30 feridos, segundo relatos preliminares das autoridades locais e da imprensa internacional.

A aeronave, utilizada para operações logísticas, havia decolado de Santa Cruz de la Sierra transportando uma remessa de dinheiro vinculada ao sistema financeiro nacional. De acordo com os primeiros informes, durante o toque na pista a aeronave enfrentou circunstâncias ainda sob investigação, o que impediu que conseguisse frear dentro dos limites do aeroporto. O avião atravessou uma via próxima, atingindo veículos e gerando caos em horário de tráfego intenso.

Testemunhas relataram momentos de pânico ao verem o avião avançar além da pista envolto em fumaça. Fragmentos da fuselagem ficaram espalhados pela avenida enquanto equipes de resgate atuavam para socorrer os feridos e conter possíveis focos de incêndio. A gravidade do impacto levou à suspensão temporária das operações aeroportuárias e à ativação de protocolos de emergência em hospitais da região.

Um dos aspectos mais incomuns do acidente foi a dispersão de parte da carga: pacotes com cédulas se abriram após o impacto. As autoridades confirmaram que o dinheiro ainda não havia sido oficialmente emitido e, portanto, não possuía validade legal. Ainda assim, a presença de cédulas na via pública gerou desordem momentânea, levando forças policiais e militares a isolarem a área e recolherem o material.

O Banco Central e instituições financeiras ativaram mecanismos preventivos para impedir que as cédulas entrem no circuito econômico formal. Também foram iniciados processos técnicos para rastrear e posteriormente destruir o dinheiro comprometido.

Paralelamente, o governo anunciou uma investigação completa para esclarecer as causas do acidente. Especialistas em aviação analisarão as caixas-pretas da aeronave, seu estado técnico antes do voo, as condições meteorológicas no momento do pouso e a atuação da tripulação. As conclusões podem levar semanas, mas as autoridades prometeram transparência.

A tragédia gerou comoção nacional e reacendeu o debate sobre protocolos de transporte aéreo de cargas de alto valor e a segurança operacional de aeroportos localizados em áreas urbanas densamente povoadas. Enquanto as investigações continuam, a Bolívia enfrenta as consequências humanas e logísticas de um dos acidentes mais graves dos últimos anos.
