Las microvacaciones —conocidas en inglés como micro-cations— se han convertido en una de las tendencias más dinámicas del turismo actual. La idea es simple pero poderosa: viajes cortos de entre dos y cuatro días que permiten desconectarse, descubrir un destino cercano y regresar renovado sin necesidad de largas vacaciones. En un mundo donde el tiempo es cada vez más valioso, estas escapadas compactas están redefiniendo la manera en que millones de personas exploran el mundo.

El crecimiento de esta tendencia es notable. Informes del sector turístico indican que las reservas para viajes de menos de cuatro noches han crecido más de 30% en los últimos años, especialmente entre viajeros profesionales y jóvenes urbanos. Al mismo tiempo, los destinos que se encuentran a menos de cuatro horas de distancia de las grandes ciudades se han convertido en protagonistas de esta nueva forma de viajar. Montreal, Canadá es una de las mejores ciudades para una microvacación urbana. Su casco antiguo, el Viejo Montreal, combina arquitectura europea, cafés acogedores, galerías de arte y restaurantes reconocidos.
