A Trans March, agora em sua 22ª edição, acontece na sexta-feira, 26 de junho, no Dolores Park, reunindo milhares de pessoas como um dos maiores eventos do mundo com foco na comunidade trans. Organizada de forma independente pela comunidade, essa marcha celebra a diversidade de identidades trans, não binárias e de gênero não conforme por meio de discursos impactantes, música e uma atmosfera de solidariedade que remete às origens do Pride como protesto. No dia seguinte, sábado, 27, a 34ª San Francisco Dyke March ocupa o mesmo espaço no Dolores Park para homenagear lésbicas, bissexuais, mulheres queer e pessoas trans dentro desse espectro, ressignificando o termo “dyke” como fonte de força coletiva e resistência.

Hoje, em meio a avanços e retrocessos legislativos em todo os Estados Unidos, o evento mantém seu foco comunitário: milhares marcham do Dolores Park pelo Castro e bairros vizinhos, carregando bandeiras, cartazes e uma mensagem clara de dignidade e sobrevivência.

A Dyke March, por sua vez, evoluiu desde seus primórdios na década de 1990 como um espaço político e celebratório para mulheres queer e aliades. Com um ato no parque que inclui falas, performances e chamados à ação, a marcha percorre o Mission District e culmina em uma atmosfera de celebração empoderada. Ambas as marchas enfatizam a autonomia: não fazem parte da produção oficial do SF Pride, o que lhes permite manter um tom mais ativista e menos corporativo, priorizando a comunidade acima do espetáculo.

O domingo, 28 de junho, marca o clímax com o icônico Pride Parade, que começa às 10h30 no Embarcadero e segue pela Market Street até a Civic Center Plaza. Mais de 200 contingentes —organizações comunitárias, empresas, ativistas e grupos familiares— desfilam ao longo de um percurso de aproximadamente 1,5 milha, seguidos pela celebração na praça, com mais de 20 palcos apresentando música, arte e discursos até as 18h. O tema de 2026, centrado na resistência e na libertação, ecoa fortemente as marchas anteriores, criando uma ponte entre o ativismo de base e a celebração em massa.

Este fim de semana não apenas comemora 56 anos de Pride em San Francisco —berço do movimento moderno após Stonewall—, mas também ressalta como a cidade continua a servir como um farol de progresso. Em tempos de polarização, eventos como esses reafirmam que visibilidade não é um luxo; é uma ferramenta de mudança. Para participantes e observadores, estar presente significa integrar uma tradição que combina alegria e propósito, lembrando-nos de que o verdadeiro orgulho nasce da luta compartilhada.
