Pavimentan nueva ruta turística que conectará dos destinos importantes de la Patagonia

Mejorará la conectividad y potenciará el turismo regional

El gobierno de la provincia de Neuquén avanza con la pavimentación completa de la Ruta Provincial 65, una obra clave que conectará Villa Traful con las rutas nacionales 40 y 237, mejorando el acceso a uno de los destinos más encantadores de la Patagonia argentina y consolidando su vinculación con el famoso Circuito de los Siete Lagos.

La obra consiste en 58 kilómetros de pavimentación, divididos en dos etapas principales: la primera, de 34 km desde el empalme con la Ruta Nacional 40 hasta el puente sobre el río Minero, financiada por la CAF (Banco de Desarrollo de América Latina y el Caribe), que ya supera el 50 % de avance con una inversión superior a los 30 millones de dólares; y la segunda, de 24 km desde ese puente hasta la zona de Confluencia (empalme con la Ruta Nacional 237), programada para iniciar en 2026 con financiamiento del Banco Mundial y una inversión estimada en más de 35 millones de dólares.

Hasta ahora, el acceso a Villa Traful —un pequeño pueblo con apenas 761 habitantes— se realizaba en gran parte por tramos de camino de ripio que, especialmente en invierno o con lluvias, se tornaban complicados y peligrosos. Con la pavimentación completa, se espera garantizar accesibilidad durante todo el año, mayor seguridad y una experiencia más fluida para los visitantes.

Este nuevo tramo no solo integrará plenamente a Villa Traful al Corredor de los Lagos y al Circuito de los Siete Lagos, sino que también facilitará la conexión directa entre Villa La Angostura (vía Ruta 237) y San Martín de los Andes (vía Ruta 40), creando un circuito alternativo más atractivo y potenciando el flujo turístico entre estos destinos cordilleranos.

Los beneficios esperados incluyen un impulso económico para la comunidad local mediante un mayor flujo de turistas y, por ende, un dinamismo adicional para la hotelería, la gastronomía y los servicios. El gobernador de Neuquén, Rolando Figueroa, destacó que se trata de “una de las obras estratégicas más relevantes de nuestra agenda de infraestructura vial” y que permitirá “mejorar la accesibilidad a uno de los principales destinos turísticos de la provincia”.

Villa Traful también ha sido reconocida por sus atractivos naturales, como el Bosque Sumergido en el Lago Traful, la playa de La Puntilla, el Mirador del Viento y varias cascadas accesibles por senderos familiares, además de sitios con pinturas rupestres y circuitos de trekking que rodean hermosas lagunas y ríos de montaña.
